weight loss tipsYou went to the gym five times a week for several months.  You stayed dedicated to the treadmill and a healthy diet. You knew the best way to lose weight, lost a large amount of weight and reached your goal!

You should congratulate yourself for your achievement because many people cannot reach their goals.

Now, the only question is: How do you keep the weight off?

Most people gain the weight back because they suddenly do not see the need to work out as hard and they start enjoying the foods they love again. It is much easier to go back to the previous lifestyle than it is to continue the one you have taken up for the past six months.

If you are worried about gaining all the weight back, you might find the following weight loss tips useful to stay at your goal weight and keep in shape.

5 Weight Loss Tips

Weight Loss Tip #1 — Continue Exercising: You may not have to go to the gym five days a week to jog for an hour and pump some iron for half an hour. You can cut back to three days or do only 30 minutes of exercise everyday.  The key is consistency and that means having some type of exercise routine.  If you are tired of the gym, start walking or jogging outdoors, go for hikes, play tennis or go swimming. Change things up so that you still stay active but not get bored.  But it is most important for you to keep up your activity level and avoid becoming more sedentary.

Weight Loss Tip #2 — Continue Eating Healthy: Weight loss success does not mean going back to former eating habits. After all, remember that is what got you in trouble in the first place. You may not have to stick to a very strict diet like before, but you must continue eating healthy.  Eat your proteins, veggies, fruits and whole wheat goods.  Eat the foods you love on the weekends, on occasions or very moderately. Continue to use a journal to plan your meals and minimize the chance of impulse eating and unplanned binging.

Weight Loss Tip #3  — Get a Health Partner:  If you know someone who has been successful in losing weight as you have and want to keep it off, partner with them.  Talk about your activities, your diet and perhaps exercise with them. This will help you stay motivated. Remember what your life was like before you started on your journey to lose the weight.  Remember the problems and pain you experienced in the first place.  Is that something you really want to go back to?

Weight Loss Tip #4 — Find Someone Who is Just Getting Started With Losing Weight:  Find someone else you know who is trying to lose weight and serve as a role model.  Share with them the things that you did to help you succeed, and let them know how you got through the difficult times and emotions an managed to stay on track with what you wanted to achieve.  In addition to providing motivation to the person who is trying to reach their goal, being a mentor will remind you of what you did during the time you were on the way to your goal which will reinforce the mindset and behaviors for you at a new and deeper level.

Weight Loss Tip #5 — Manage Stress Successfully:  Stress can be one of our greatest sources of undoing when we least expect it.  A new promotion at work can lead to a disruption of the balance you had in life as you adjust to the increased demands at work either in the work you have to do or sometimes the people you have to supervise.  Don’t let this better job cause you to lose track of your personal well being.

It could be that you are the one in your family who is best at crisis management so everyone looks for you to handle all of the problems that come up.  Maybe you are good at handling 1 or 2, but if 5 or 10 problems happen at the same time, don’t let this push you over the edge and back to food for comfort.

Set aside at least 15 minutes a day for relaxation and giving yourself a chance to enjoy calmness and quietness and reflect on your personal well being.  If you can do this more than once a day, then even better!

Using these 5 tips as well as just looking at yourself in the mirror and being proud of what you have achieved should be a good foundation to help you with keeping the weight off!

There are times when we fall by the wayside and stop doing things to stay in good health, But thanks to professionals like Dr. Weaver who’s concerned about people and their health, that he would take time to offer free information to them on things they should be doing to stay in good health. I once took antioxidents for a long time, but because of the rising cost I stop taking them. But after reading this article I think I will start to take them again and add the Healthy 365 because I need to loose some weight also.

I think it would be cheaper in a long run to take the supplements to keep my body in good health, and not develope a sickness that will cause me to go on other medications that could cost a lot more than the supplements.

Thanks for helping to start the process of a life style change toward good health.

I can’t say anymore how much I appreciate you, and it seems that your information is directed to me when I really need it. I just got back from a 15 day cruise and yes, I did put on some pounds that I need to take off. This information is so right on time, and I also went to your office and picked up me a bottle of the Health Slim 365 I’m serious and I also downloaded and read 10 Secrets for Successful weight loss & keeping it off. This will be my guide to reach my goal which is to loose __ pounds in the next three months. I know if I follow the secrets with the 365 I can do it. And hopefully it will be on sale again when I finish this bottle.
