Technological and scientific advancements have allowed us to live longer. It is long enough to see our hair getting thin and then falling gradually. As we age, our hair starts falling and baldness starts to appear. It is common in 95% of the men that their hair fall starts after the age of 35. Causes of hair fall include diet, medications, lack of minerals, stress and depression, air pollution, and the genes. It has been observed that most of the people who suffer hair loss have an ancestry preceding them in the same. For e.g. if a man’s father and grandfather were both bald by the age of 50, there are high chances of that individual going bald by that time too. In 2009, the International Society for Hair Restoration Surgery survey proved that almost 40% of men believed that ‘male pattern baldness ‘was a genetic trait that could only be passed down by one parent. Science has negated this old wife’s tale, and today we are aware that thinning hair is a trait that can be inherited through either parent. Now, the biggest matter of concern is- Does hair fall really matter? If yes, then why?
Hair fall does matter to men. It affects their lifestyle in many ways. Hair can be the most important part of a man’s personality. A little cut here and a big one there can change the whole personality of a man. Since childhood, combing your hair is the most exciting part of the morning. Due to the inferior feeling, a man would no longer be the same old confident self that he used to be.
